Elections

Student Government elections are held in the Spring and Fall of each year. The President, Vice President, and Assembly (University Wide Representatives and College Representatives) are elected in the Spring for a one-year term. In the fall,  First-Year Representatives are elected by their peers.

To qualify to run in the elections, a student must fill out the appropriate forms. After a candidate has filed, he/she must attend the candidate seminar held prior to campaigning. A student can only run as an independent candidate.

Voting for the spring elections takes place for two days and fall elections take place for one day. Current students can vote at various polling locations on campus or from any computer at www.utsg.org.
