  • Filing statement for freshmen can be found at the UT SG office (SAC 2.102). Filing begins on August 25th at 9:00 AM at the SG office (SAC 2.102). All you need is your $20 refundable deposit. Filing ends on September 15th at noon.

First Year Representative Elections

Become one of two first-years with a seat in the Student Government Assembly! Any undergraduate or transfer student entering their first semester at UT is eligible to run. Applications open August 25 and are due September 15, and a short campaign will precede elections in September. All students in their first semester at UT are eligible to vote.

Voting for the fall election will take place online at utexasvote.org on Wednesday September 23 from 8AM-5PM.  For more information about application, budget, and campaign specifics, contact Administrative Director Amber Magee
