Get Involved

There are a wide variety of ways to get involved in Student Government at the University of Texas at Austin. Between the three branches, Student Government provides opportunities for students to gain experience and make a difference on campus according to individual interests and skills.

Our weekly meetings are held on Tuesdays at 7pm in the Student Activities Center Legislative Assembly Room. Come out to hear the latest happenings at your University. Meetings are open and all members of the University of Texas community are encouraged to attend. If you’d like to speak to the Assembly, simply sign up for Open Forum before the meeting begins.

As a freshman you can join our Freshman Leadership Organization (FLO), Apply to be a Longhorn Legislative Aid (LLA), or Run to be a First-Year Representative. Other ways to get involved include joining an Agency or contacting a member of the Executive Board to find out what initiatives you can get hooked into!
